God has answered a lot of prayers in my life, but this one is big! When I got home from work today, there was a message for me on the answering machine, from the lady that I had my interview with at the school division. I called her and she told me that I got a full time temporary postion at Grenfell High Community school as an EA. I start August 30th, and will be there until May 31st! I am so thankfull and happy right now, and all the thanks goes to God, and everyone who prayed!
1 Chronicles 16:34 Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good, His love endures forever.

Jobs, jobs, jobs
So, I had my interview at Prairie Valley School Division in Regina, for the job at the school in Grenfell, on Thursday! The interview went very well, I should hear back from her sometime this week! :)
I didn't get the job at the Daycare in Indian Head for the summer, but I can work there in the fall if I don't get the job at the school. For the rest of summer I am working in Broadview at Kaycie's Roadhouse! I started on Saturday and had 2 days of training, today I worked alone in the morning! I got to open the restaurant, I had slept in though... I am supposed to be there at 7:30, I woke up at 7:15. My alarm was set for 6:10AM and it was even turned on, it just decided that it wanted a day off I guess :P. So yes, I was 15 minutes late. My boss was getting a little worried and she right when she went to call me, I walked in the door. It was a good day of work. I think I am going to really like the morning coffee crowd, they are all very nice and polite, and like any other place, they like to bug the waitresses. I will have to watch out for my bosses husband though, he has been known for making prank calls to the waitresses while he's in for a meal or coffee. Even though this is a waitressing job, and I'm not a huge fan of waitressing, I am really enjoying it and hopefully it will stay that way for the rest of the summer!
In other news...
It's way too hot out! Summer is my worst enemy, I think it's the only season that I hate. The only good thing about summer is the thunder storms! I think if I do get the EA job, i'll go to Alaska for my summer holidays! :P Or just somewhere that's colder than here (Ireland! :D).
Verse of the day...
"Speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is, Christ" Ephesians 4:15

Interview!
This week is definitely going good so far! I got a call today from the Prairie Valley School Division, I have an interview with them on Thursday July 14 at 2:30 PM for a position here in Grenfell High School! I really hope this interview goes very well! It would be the perfect job for me because I would be doing what I want to do, the hours are perfect, and if I am going to be working at the youth center I would have my weekends free to do that! I could even have afterschool events at the youth center! I think that would be so awesome, and it is definetly something that I will be needing to pray about! And if you would also like to pray that would be great! I'll need all the prayer and support I can get! Thank you everyone who reads this for listening! It's really nice being able to share with you all how God is working in my life, and everything that's going on! But now I am off to do some house work, yes mother I am going to housework for you! :P Have a good day

Things are looking up!
I would say things are looking up. I had an interview at Kacies Roadhouse in Broadview today, it went well and I pretty much have the job. I am just waiting for my interview in Indian Head at the daycare on Tuesday, before I make any decisions. The daycare is somewhere that I would actually want to work at, and the boss at Kacies knows that so she is alright with waiting for me to make my decision. It's nice when people would rather you make up your mind and do the thing that you want to do rather than pushing you to work for them.
I opened the youth center, for the first time this summer, last night. It went very well. I had a fun airhocky game with one of the youth (hoping to start up an airhockey tournament sometime). We tried different things to make it a little more interesting, like putting one hand behind our back, using our left hand, and playing the game blind-folded. I must say, playing airhockey blind-folded is not easy! But thankfully we had a girl help by telling us where the puc was at all times. It was a very fun evening, and I can't wait for more opportunities! I really want to see that place up and running all the time, I know God has some great plans for it, and for all the youth that attend!

Reliable Friends are Hard to Find
How many of you have friends who actually care about you? Friends who will do anything for you? Friends that care about others, and not just themselves? I know that I do have friends like that, but lately it just feels like my friends around here don't care anymore. I'm trying to live my life on the path of righteousness and my friends want me to go to the bar, cabarets, parties, etc. They know that I am not that kind of person, and that i'm not comfortable in those places, but that's what they want to do. They want to hang out with me but they won't really make the effort to do things that I am actually comfortable doing. Do those sound like good friends? I don't really think so. I'm trying to be a good influence as well, and encouraging them to come with me to different things, but sometimes it just feels like it's not working. I know Grenfell is small, and there isn't a whole lot for young adults anymore besides going to the bar, or for coffee. And nothing is open late anymore either. I think that I am going to try and find a small group in Regina that I can attend, and make some more friends in a good church group setting. It would also be nice to start a small group here, but I just don't really know if anyone would actually come. Sigh... I feel like I am complaining a lot today.
There is also the youth center that I would like to start opening on weekends for the youth of the town. It has been running for a few years, but I don't think it really gets opened much. I believe it is something that should be open every Friday and Saturday night, it should be a place where youth can go and feel safe and have fun. This town really needs a lot of prayer! I know that one day God will come and fill the town with His presence and people will realize what they really need!
Sorry this isn't the best blog post today, I am just a little frustrated with things. And maybe I shouldn't write when I'm frustrated, I should wait until I'm a little more peaceful, but for today I'm writing and I'm leaving it at that!
Many will say they are loyal friends, but who can find one who is truly reliable? Proverbs 20:6
